Magic on the Road
That’s going to be the title of my first book.
The story about how I walked 2500 km all by myself without a phone, map or any form of navigation, with the rule to never pay for sleeping and to never ask for help.
A test with God. With the Universe.
What happens if we let go of all control in our life?
Is there a greater power guiding us, or are we doomed to fall down without control?

A book about the stories I made and the people I met on the way, with flashbacks to the pain of my past and the life lessons I learned.
What made this journey so special, were the people that I met. From multimillionaires to homeless guys, from drug addicts to a casino robber. I opened my heart to everyone and realised that in the end we’re all the same. We’re all longing for love. For meaning. For purpose.
We’re all a product of our past and we all deserve a second chance.
On the 25th of March 2014 I started walking direction Southwest. I went without phone, map or any form of navigation and with the rule to never pay for sleeping and never ask for anything. Only receive what God gives me.
During this journey I learned that if we live with an open heart and follow our inner guidance that life gives us everything we need. Many people opened their heart to me; they shared with me their house, their food; and even their deepest fears and feelings.
Every night, at exactly the right moment, God gave me a safe place to sleep. Either a person would ‘coincidentally’ appear on my way or I find some kind of shelter. The places varied from my own build shelter with wood I found and my piece of plastic to an abandoned factory. I slept in hay sheds, churches, in a cave, in a tree house, in a tipi or outside under the full moon and the shining stars with a 360 degree panoramic view. Next to river, in an abandoned magic caravan, I slept secretly in hotels without the owners knowing I was there.
I was always guided through clear universal signs, like just an inner voice telling me where to go, numbers, feathers or other random signs. If the universe speaks, you just feel the sign.
Some nights were hard. I slept in the open air in dark forests and faced my biggest paranoia fears. One morning I woke up shivering, with a layer of ice on my sleeping bag.
What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. That day I got rewarded by an invitation for a delicious French breakfast in the house of a lovely lady, who was living just around the corner of where I’d slept. She said that I could have slept in her house, if she only knew. In this moment it was God telling me that I gave up too early the evening before and that my comfortable bed was just around the corner.
We don’t have to suffer in life. I f we follow our intuition, our heart, everything goes smooth. We just have to trust and when the pain is almost unbearable, the solution is near. The coldest hour is just before the dawn.
At some point it was time for the biggest test. To leave my money bankcards and passport behind. I had to make this test with life to see if God really always gives me what I need. And if it works on the way to Santiago, it will work anywhere in the world. Sleeping outside I already did since day 1, but from now on I was fasting until I found food.
